US CBP Selects Catano of TradePoint as ACE Trade Ambassador
Celeste Catano, Principal Analyst, Designer & Developer at TradePoint Systems has been selected by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to be a part of the eleven member "core" team to participate in the development of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) by taking part in future Global Business Blueprinting (GBB) sessions.
Catano and
fellow trade members will take part in this effort and work along side federal
government employees by drilling down the business processes to get to a more
detailed level of requirements necessary to design and develop future ACE releases.
The trade representatives will act as "Ambassadors" by communicating
information to trade committee members and gaining consensus on process design
consideration with those committees. Catano also currently serves as co-chair
of the Transition and Trade Software Integration Committee, which is the software
vendor committee for ACE. The ACE Trade Ambassadors GBB kickoff meeting is scheduled
for October 27, 2004 in Washington, DC.
I was pleased to be among those selected by CBP, said Catano. A key benefit of my participation will be the opportunity to be at the forefront of ACE developments and to represent TradePoint Systems. This is a win-win situation for CBP and the international trade industry.
Ken Halle,
COO at TradePoint Systems added, In order to support and protect the future
investments of our customers, TradePoint is driven to be at the forefront of
our industry. We are proud to be the only software company represented on the
committee. Celeste has been our chief architect in this area for over 27 years
and her active participation clearly demonstrates her commitment to the industry.
