TradePoint Systems and SECTRA are pleased to announce that they have received certification from Us Customs and Border Protection and are now part of the list of certified "Sea AMS Data Processing Services." The certification has been listed with Customs under the SECTRA name. There are now less than two weeks remaining until the "Us Customs and Border Protection 24-hour Advance Cargo Manifest Declaration Rule" becomes a reality on February 2, 2003. TradePoint's Manifest 24 system is used specifically to comply with the 24-hour Manifest Rule.
Manifest24 utilizes new web-based technology to give shipping lines and logistics companies acting as ocean carriers (NVOCC's) worldwide an automated, error-free and secure means to transmit the AMS information to Us Customs and Border Protection for all US bound container shipments, as well as receive notification or acknowledgement from Customs of acceptance or rejection of their AMS filing. Furthermore, Manifest24 has an optional interface that allows for the electronic upload/download of data to/from existing systems. No matter what the existing systems are, integrating Manifest24 can streamline operations, minimize data entry requirements, and optimize performance management.
Manifest24
is among the growing list of compliance technology solutions offered by TradePoint.
Others include FASTPoint, which facilitates the movement of trucks into the
US from Canada utilizing the FAST (Free And Secure Trade) lane processing, and
ECS, an export compliance system that determines denied parties, embargoes and
licensing requirements.
