TradePoint Acquires Product Divisions from ClearCross

TradePoint Systems LLC, a leading provider of software applications and services to the Customs House Brokerage and Freight Forwarding industry for more than three decades, has announced the acquisition of several product lines from ClearCross, Inc., the Reston, VA-based global supply chain technology company. TradePoint has acquired the software products and certain other assets, along with the right to continue product development, enhancements and support of all existing ClearCross customers. Employees associated with these product lines have become part of the TradePoint staff.

In January of 2002 TradePoint acquired an exclusive licensing arrangement to take over support, sales and continuing development for certain Questa and SPEX ClearCross customers in the USA and the UK. This latest agreement transfers over 100 additional customers in the USA and Europe, as well as assets and ownership for these product lines, along with several other product lines:

· Questa - An integrated products suite that runs under Windows NT and utilizes either SQL or Oracle databases. Products include Customs House Brokerage, Freight Forwarding, Breakbulk, AMS and Accounting. This product set has been renamed CargoPoint.

· SPEX - Export Documentation system - This is the leading Export Documentation product in the world with hundreds of users, originally developed by the British Government and then sold into the private sector.

· DPS - Export Management System - This is a client server version of the SPEX product with capabilities to integrate into many of the large-scale ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.

· GLS - Global Logistics Systems - This is a large-scale logistics system designed to integrate with ERP systems for the cross border movement of products.

· ECS - Export Compliance System - This is an ASP or Web-based compliance system that integrates with ERP and document systems to ensure compliance for real time mission critical order and shipment processes.

· Importer - Importer Management System - Provides product parts bank, rating and landed cost calculations to Importers

As part of the agreement, TradePoint and ClearCross will work together to provide a smooth transition of the products and TradePoint has offered employment to all employees currently involved with these product lines. In the short term, all of the ClearCross employees have agreed to continue working for TradePoint.
