By Matthew French

Nashua, N.H.-based TradePoint Systems LLC announced yesterday it will acquire the software and customer base from a Virginia supply chain company. Financial terms were not disclosed.

TradePoint, a provider of software and services to the customs house brokerage and freight forwarding industries, said it will purchase the Questa line of software and customer base from Reston, Va.-based ClearCross Inc.

As part of the agreement, TradePoint and ClearCross will work together to provide a transition of the Questa products and customers to TradePoint’s technical and support environments. TradePoint will provide Questa users with help desk support, product enhancements, customs compliance and product development services through its facilities in Nashua.

In a related transaction TradePoint’s UK affiliate TradePoint Systems Ltd., acquired the rights to the Spex software and customer base. Spex is an industry leading export documentation system.
