TradePoint merges with Trans-Euro

TradePoint Systems LLC, the Nashua, N.H.-based trade software specialist, said it has merged with Trans-Euro, a supplier of export documentation software solutions based in Holland.

The new company will be called TradePoint Systems B.V. and will be headquartered in Zwolle, Holland.

"We are pleased and excited by this merger" said Nigel Lothian, managing director of TradePoint Systems' European operations. "We have several customers utilizing our SPEX export documentation system in Holland and other parts of Europe. Combining our technology offerings and customers with those acquired from Trans-Euro, as well as adding Trans-Euro's local market presence, existing resources and skills, will allow TradePoint to reach its goal of significant penetration into the European market".

In conjunction with SPEX, the new TradePoint Systems B.V. will offer the international trade industry of Europe the Export Compliance System (ECS), a Web-based application that enables exporters to automatically check for regulatory compliance and denied parties during the document preparation process. In addition, Manifest 24 another Web-based application that enables ocean carriers and NVOCC's worldwide to successfully complete the task requirements of U.S. Customs 24-hour advance cargo manifest rule, will be offered by TradePoint Systems B.V.
