Overview

 This is the Entry Type Code Maintenance program. The Entry Type Code file does not need to be manually maintained.   TradePoint provides you with an Entry Type Code file.       

 

Screen

The Entry Type Code Maintenance screen is accessed from the Master Table Maintenance Menu.

 

Procedure

The following table describes the fields on the Entry Type Code Maintenance screen.

Data Entry

Description

01 Entry Type

Enter the entry type code.

This entry type code must represent a valid U.S. Customs’ entry type.

02 Entry Type Desc

Enter the description of the entry type.

This description displays on the screen whenever the entry type code is entered, for verification purposes.

01 Require CBTPA Cert

Enter Y if the CBTPA Certificate number is required for this entry type.

Enter N or leave the field blank if the CBTPA Certificate number is not required with this entry type.

Enter O if the CBTPA Certificate number is optional for this entry type.

This field is for the U.S. Customs requirement for reporting the Brassiere Provision CBTPA Certificate Number on the ABI transaction record. It determines if an entry type requires the Certificate Number to be reported.

Note: The Certificate Number is mandatory for all entry types except 21 and 22. For entry types 21 and 22, the certificate number is optional.

02 Liquidation Eligible

Press ENTER or enter Y if this entry type is eligible for Liquidation.

Enter N if the entry type is not eligible for liquidation.

This field indicates whether or not this entry type is eligible for Liquidation.

03 Allow AII

Enter Y if Automated Invoice Interface (AII) is allowed with this entry type.

Enter N or leave the field blank if AII is not allowed with this entry type.

This field indicates whether or not AII is allowed with this entry type.

04 Require Steel License

Enter Y if a Steel License is required for this entry type.

Enter N or leave the field blank if a Steel License is not required for this entry type.

Currently, the only entry types that do NOT require a Steel License are: 6, 11, 12, 21- 23, 41-46, and 61- 63.

If the steel license is required, the steel license number should be entered in the Steel License field on the Steel License pop-up screen in Quick Entry after you have entered the tariff number. 

The Steel License Number will print in block 34 on the 7501.

05 Valid for Prior Notice

Enter Y, N, or F.

Enter Y if FDA Prior Notices are required to be submitted for this entry type.                      

Enter N if FDA Prior Notices are NOT required to be submitted for this entry type.                      

Enter F if FDA Prior Notices are required to be submitted for this entry type ONLY if the shipment is NOT coming out of a Foreign Trade Zone.                   

This field indicates whether or not FDA Prior Notices are required to be submitted for this entry type.

06 Allow RLF

Enter Y if Remote Location Filing (RLF) is allowed with this entry type.

Enter N or leave the field blank if RLF is not allowed with this entry type.

This field indicates whether or not Remote Location File (RLF) is allowed with this entry type.

07 Req Singapore Cert

Enter Y if a Singapore Certificate is required for this entry type.

Enter N or leave the field blank if a Singapore Certificate is not required for this entry type.

Currently, the only entry types that do NOT require a Steel License are: 21 (Warehouse), 22 (Re-Warehouse), and 23 (TIB).

If the certicate is required, the Singapore Certificate number should be entered in the Cert/License field on the Singapore Cert pop-up screen in Quick Entry after you have entered the tariff number. 

The Singapore Certificate Number will print in block 34 on the 7501, and will be reported on the EI transaction record type 52.

08 Valid for PMS

Enter N to indicate that this type of entry cannot be put on a periodic monthly statement.               

Enter Y or leave blank to indicate that this type of entry can be put on a periodic monthly statement.     

This field indicates that this type of entry can be put on a periodic monthly statement.  There are two entry types that are NOT valid for Monthly Statements: 8 (NAFTA Duty Deferral) and 9 (Reconciliation).

ACTION

If you added or changed any information on the screen, press US or UR to update and save the information.

If you press UR, the program will return you to the Master Table Maintenance Menu.
