Overview

The Airline Service Maintenance database lets you define the airline service levels involved in processing freight (e.g., second day service or special delivery). 

Note:  You can also use these services to determine a tariff. To determine a tariff, select the specific service for the freight. When you select the tariff, the correct rate will correlate to the selected service level.

 

Procedure

To build or maintain airline service levels, complete the following fields.

 

Field Name

Data Entry

Description

Airline Service

Enter a 3-character alphanumeric airline service code.

This is the code for the particular level of airline service.

Name

Enter the airline service name.

This is the airline service name. It will display for verification purposes when the airline service code is entered.

Blocked

Select this box or leave it blank.

This field enables/disables this record from being used for a shipment.

OK or Cancel

Select OK to update the changes you have made.  Select Cancel if you would like the system to disregard any changes you have made.

Selecting OK or Cancel will close the window.
