Overview

The Country Maintenance database maintains the Country file information in the Alliance Export system.

Notes:  This database is the same for both Air and Ocean.

TradePoint Systems, LLC builds and maintains the Country maintenance. However, you can modify this database if necessary.

You can do a lookup to the Country Maintenance table from the Country Code field on the Airport Maintenance screen, or from the Country Code field in Ocean Port Maintenance.

 

Procedure

To maintain country file information, complete the following fields.

 

Field Name

Data Entry

Description

Country

Enter the 2-digit alphanumeric country code.

This is the international code of the country.

Name

Enter the country name.

This is the country name that will display for verification purposes when the country code is entered.

Local Code

Enter the local country code.

This is the code of the country in the local Customs system.

Trade Area

No data entry required.

This field is currently not used in Alliance Export.

E.C. Member

Select this box or leave it blank.

This field indicates whether the country is a member of the European Community.

Note:  This information is necessary for calculating VAT during customer invoicing.

Blocked

Select this box or leave it blank.

This field enables/disables this record from being used for a shipment.

OK or Cancel

Select OK to update the changes you have made.  Select Cancel if you would like the system to disregard any changes you have made.

Selecting OK or Cancel will close the window.
