Overview

The Ocean Move Type Maintenance database maintains Ocean load/unload configuration codes for the Alliance Export system.

Some examples of move types are: House to House, House to Terminal, House to Pier, and Pier to Pier.

Note:  You can do a lookup to the Move Type Maintenance table from the Type of Move field on the File Entry screen.

 

Procedure

To build or maintain Ocean load/unload configuration codes, complete the following fields.

Description

Type of

Enter the 2-digit alphanumeric Move Type code.

This is the Move Type code.

Name

Enter the Moving Type name.

This is the name or description of the moving configuration (e.g., House to House). This name will display for verification purposes when the Move Type code is entered.

Include Shipper Load Message

Select this box or leave it blank.

This box indicates whether to print “Shipper’s Load Count & Stowage” in the message area of the bill of lading.

Blocked

Select this box or leave it blank.

This field enables/disables this record from being used for a shipment.

OK or Cancel

Select OK to update the changes you have made.  Select Cancel if you would like the system to disregard any changes you have made.

Selecting OK or Cancel will close the window.
