Setting Up CargoPoint Internet Tracking Manager

 

Overview

The CargoPoint Internet Tracking Manager will be installed on one PC or server on your network.  Generally, this is done by Kewill as part of our installation process.

 

Help Function

All information regarding the additional screens and functionality of this product – including the availability of updates – is contained on the drop-down Help menu. [See Help Function section for details.]

 

Screen

To display the CargoPoint Internet Manager screen (as displayed above), do the following:

  1. Go to Start and select Programs.
  2. Select CargoPoint Internet Tracking Manager from the list.   The screen above will open if this is the first time this has been done.

 

Procedure

The following table describes the procedures for setting up the CargoPoint Internet Tracking Manager.

Click on Copy Template.

Copy Template will write the connection string template from the bottom window into the connection string window.

Replace the “?” at Data Source with the name of your database server and the “?” at the Initial Catalog with the name of your database.

If you do not know this information, please contact Kewill Support at 800-258-6363.

Note: If this string has already been created, you can omit these first two steps.

When the database and server are in the string, click on Test.

You will get a message telling you that you have connected to the database.  If this process is not successful, you should contract your network administrator.

                                  4           

Once you have a “successful” result, click Save and go to the tab called Service.
